The Key To Global Prosperity: How Mums Are Hustling Hard in Developing Worlds

Have you ever wondered what entrepreneurship looks like outside of our first world country? It might be hard to believe, but mums are literally risking it all to build their empires, just to be able to provide a better life for their children. These mums give a whole new meaning to hustler.

Mums With Hustle is a biz where my passion meets my purpose, so connecting with other businesses where they feel the same is always very exciting for me!

For today's episode, I've asked a bizmum to discuss her incredible business where her passion for female entrepreneurship meets purpose!

This is one episode that really moved me emotionally, so get ready for some serious women's empowerment vibes.

Sonali Hedditch, a Brisbane mum to three girls. She has a Masters in Social Science in International Development; however, her passion and life's work is economically empowering women in developing countries.

Sonali has worked to empower female entrepreneurs in over 30 countries, in East Asia, the Pacific, the Middle East, Africa, and Indigenous Australia. She began her own biz, Multiculti Co, because she was so inspired by the incredible mumpreneurs who are hustling hard to ensure their children have many more opportunities available to them.

Today, Sonali is going to share how she works to foster female entrepreneurship in countries where it's not common and how doing so may lead to global prosperity.

Welcome to the virtual couch, Sonali!

I hope you're ready to be moved and inspired. This episode is all about encouraging you to support and encourage your fellow bizmums (no matter their location!).

Sonali is a complete force, and I'm so glad I got to chat with her about fostering female entrepreneurship.

Key Points We Discussed:

Who is Sonali Hedditch?
What is Sonali's biz journey?

2. Knowing Your Niche

I always love learning what a mum was doing as a career before she took the leap to start her own business. Sonali's background in international development and Indigenous affairs really helped her find her niche and jumpstart her biz.

Key Points We Discussed:

How did Sonali establish her niche?

  • Sonali has always had a passion for women's rights.

What is MultiCulti Co?

3. Mums In Third World Countries

These mums in third world countries are remarkable hustlers who are working endlessly to make ends meet and provide a better life for their children. This part of the chat was so touching, and I dare you not to feel empowered!

Key Points We Discussed:

The difficulties of women in third world countries and not being able to start their biz due to their gender.
How do these mums hold the key to global prosperity?
What has Sonali learned from these mums?

  • Women as consumers are the key to a better world.
  • These mums give a whole new definition to hustle. They want the very best for their children, so they will squirrel away the small income they make from selling shell jewellery to save for creating opportunities.

4. Logo Symbolism

I think a lot of mums will enjoy this part of our chat. It might give you the motivation to think deeper into your logo selection. Sonali had a really specific vision of what she wanted in a logo that would capture her business' ethos. Getting it designed was definitely one of the most enjoyable parts of getting her business started… Sonali loved seeing her vision come to life. #CanYouRelate?

Key Points We Discussed:

What is the meaning behind Sonali's logo?
